Meet our Trainers

Hi, I’m Ashley Foster B.S., Certified Pet Dog Trainer-Knowledge Accessed. I have been training dogs for as long as I can remember and got involved professionally in 1994 - a time when most training was completed using forceful and negative methods.  I could never commit myself to these methods because my heart screamed out..."how are they to trust you if you might cause them harm."  This is when I began my quest to find a different way. I began by defining my own personal relationship with dogs.  I knew that they enriched my life, brought me joy, and provided unconditional love.  Seeing how much these special creatures brought to my life I knew that I wanted to reciprocate.  In order to do so I needed to expand my knowledge of canine behavior to better understand them.

My eternal quest for canine knowledge and understanding progressed through; completion of a Bachelors of Science in Zoology, endless seminars, reading hundreds of books, observing every dog in my line of vision, and working hands-on with every dog that I could.  My never-ending quest has lead me to become a solely positive, reward-based trainer who loves learning something from every dog that enters my life. I love watching relationships between a person and their dog evolve and flourish through positive training methods utilized at Come-Play-Stay!

I share my life with four amazing Doberman Pinschers and compete in Conformation, Obedience, and am working on a future in Agility.

Hello I’m Sarah Stremming B.S., Certified Pet Dog Trainer – Knowledge Accessed. I have been training and competing in obedience, agility and rally for the past 13 years and started training professionally four years ago. I have long had a passion for reward-based training, and bringing out the very best in all dogs, agility stars and couch potatoes alike. I love developing innovative and effective training opportunities for people and their dogs and feel that on-going education brings that to fruition. I have had the honor of learning from some of the best dog trainers in the world including Dr. Patricia McConnell, Jean Donaldson, Karen Pryor, and Susan Garrett. I firmly believe that all dog owners can establish a trusting relationship with their pets through mutual respect. Being a part of the innovative Come-Play-Stay! team allows me to help dog owners achieve this on a daily basis. My life is shared with my two Border Collie Wonders; Kelso CGC, UD, MX, MXJ, OJP, NAP, OF, RE (Almost a MACH!) and Idgie (brilliant baby in training).
